Survival Derby is arcade racing and crash derby in the browser. In the garage you pick one of five cars, choose a paint colour, a neon accent and racing stripes, set a door number and line up to eleven rivals. The rivals drive differently: one aims for a rear quarter to spin you, one turns side-on to take a hit.

Three events. The Figure 8 is a dirt track at dusk: two loops and two straights that cross in the middle, so the field drives through its own traffic twice a lap. The Bowl is a round arena under floodlights where the last car running wins, or the highest score when the clock runs out. Total Destruction is that bowl with everyone out to get you.

Damage is tracked by zone — front, rear, sides and all four wheels — and shown on a car outline. A punctured radiator smokes and the engine loses power; a lost wheel drags the steering. Hits pay points: a 90-degree spin is 2, a 180 is 4, a full 360 is 10, wrecking a car is 10.

How to play

  1. Pick a car. The garage holds five cars with their own grip and toughness: the hypercar is quick and fragile, the rally pickup takes a hit. Paint, neon, stripes and a door number are set there too.
  2. Choose an event. The Figure 8 is a race over 3, 5, 10 or 15 laps, the Bowl is a derby until one car is left running, Total Destruction is that bowl with everyone hunting you, and Pro is the same derby against tougher drivers.
  3. Get up to speed and hit with the door. Throttle, brake, steering and the handbrake through a corner. Points come from spins and wrecks, so a rear quarter or a side-on hit pays better than a clean line.
  4. Watch the zones. The car outline in the corner of the screen shows front, rear, sides and wheels. A punctured radiator smokes and cuts power, and a lost wheel pulls the steering to one side.
  5. Get back on the track. Flipped, stuck or thrown over a barrier — press R and the car is put back on the dirt, a little behind where it stopped in a race.

FAQ

Do I need to install anything or sign up?

No: the game opens in your browser on the portal page. A Levbee account is optional — as a guest your best score stays in the browser; sign in and your score, records and achievements live in your profile.

How do the events differ?

The Figure 8 is a race over a dirt track with a crossing, from 3 to 15 laps. The Bowl is a derby until one car is left running. Total Destruction is that bowl with every rival hunting you, and Pro runs the derby on the hardest drivers.

What do I play it with?

A keyboard, and a gamepad works too. The game is made for a computer with a large screen: it is not playable on a phone.

How is the score counted?

Spinning a rival 90 degrees earns 2 points, 180 earns 4, a full 360 earns 10, and wrecking a car earns 10; a race also pays for your finishing place. The score goes to your account and the server decides whether it is a record.

What if my car ends up on its roof?

Press R: the car is set back on its wheels, next to where you got stuck in the bowl and a little behind that spot in a race.
