Biplane Duel is a retro arcade game about a biplane above a battlefield. You fly your own aircraft while the computer sends enemy fighters into the air, and the ground below is full of targets: tanks, factories and fuel tanks. Each level asks you to destroy every enemy target, but fuel and ammunition run out, so you have to turn back to your own base and land to restock.
The game follows the design of a classic open-source DOS game from 1984: a side view, pixel graphics and a simple flight model where the plane loses height at low speed. There is a duel against the computer and a novice mode with gentler settings. Birds and oxen wander the field as well: hitting them costs a life, and a bad landing can end a flight too. Play with a keyboard, or use the on-screen buttons on a phone; your best result is stored on the device.
